LOT 33 - Tapawingo Subdivision

300 ft. Frontage, 2.47 Acres on Hewitt Lake in Iron County, Wisconsin

Natural Beauty, Peace and Privacy

This beautiful lot in Northern Wisconsin is on the west side of Hewitt Lake near the end of a newly paved dead end road. It has 300 feet of deep water frontage and 2.47 acres. There are no bad building sites on this lot--no wet land. The road side is high and the lot rises, then slopes gently to the lake, giving excellent privacy at the lake. The lot is covered in mature hardwoods including maple, basswood and birch. The shoreline is lined with ancient hemlock trees.

Hewitt Lake - A Natural Treasure

Hewitt lake is one of the purest, clearest lakes in Wisconsin and was named by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as one of only two "quality water resource" lakes in Iron county. It is 78 acres in size and over 100 feet deep. The water is so pure that it is drinkable! You can clearly see fish in up to 30 feet depths. The lake is NOT appropriate for waterskiing or personal watercraft use. It IS perfect for swimming, canoeing, fishing, and it is a joy to observe. Just sit and see and hear loons, eagles, otters, deer, bear, wolves and even an occasional moose. Hewitt is a great lake for bass and large muskie. "Catch and Release" is encouraged.

Lake Frontage - Clear, Deep and Breathtaking

The frontage is mainly smooth stones dropping off to 30 or more feet within 50 feet of shore. A short permanent dock would allow safe diving into 8 feet of water. The waterfront is most appropriate for swimming and boating.

Building Sites - You Choose

Depending on your taste building sites vary from high and panoramic to near water level with little grade. There are no wetlands or other restricted building areas on this lot.

Tapawingo Subdivision

Lot 33 is in Tapawingo, a superb wilderness subdivision created in 2005. Three entire lakes are included in the subdivision. All lots have at least 300 feet of frontage, all are at least 1.5 acres in size, and all houses will be at least 75 feet from the lake, providing uniformity not possible on most other lakes. The acreage on the other side of the road is divided into large parcels that are not subdividable. Copies of the covenants, written to preserve the natural beauty of the area, are available for your review. All electrical and phone (including DSL) utilities are in.
