The Cottage

We're north of Mercer where we get more snow. Great ice fishing too.

Cozy and classic "Up North" 4 season cottage--800 square feet: 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with shower, wood paneled great room with large picture window, kitchen and dining area--only 35 feet from the lake! One bedroom has a queen size canopy bed; the other has bunks (or twins). Other amenities include a gas fireplace, a deck, a screen porch, a campfire area, satellite TV and DVD player, stereo. The cottage is ideal for a family of 4 or a fifth in a pinch on a rollaway.

The Waterfront and Surroundings

The cottage faces west for maximum sun and beautiful sunsets. The 200 feet of frontage is level with sandy bottom for excellent swimming. Nestled among the pines and maples, your privacy is secured in this very quiet area. Also on the lakefront are 2 docks and a boat lift. Across the street is the Northern Highland State Forest offering great hiking, hunting, and more fishing on 2 wilderness, hike-in lakes. The road and the lake are snowmobile routes--woods trails within a mile.

Fisher Lake

The lake is 450 acres and part of a 3-lake chain. Fisher is connected to Catherine Lake by a culvert and to Cedar Lake via the Turtle River. All are accessible by small motor boat, or for a great wilderness experience, take the canoe. Catherine and Cedar Lakes are large, quality lakes, with very few houses. Cedar Lake is mostly state owned. Fishing, waterskiing, swimming, sailing, and paddling are superb on Fisher Lake. There are 2 restaurants on the lake within easy boat travel.

• 14 foot Alumacraft fishing boat & 4hp. 4-stroke motor
• Canoe with canoe caddy for expeditions to wilderness lakes
• Sheets & blankets
• Bathroom towels (bring your beach towels)
• Gas range, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker and filters, all dishes and utensils, dish soap, basic condiments and spices
• DirecTV satellite TV, CD player, DVD player, stereo
• Charcoal grill and charcoal and campfire wood for fire pit
• Boat lift (3000 pound)
• Life preservers, oars, paddles
• Pack N Play available for infants

Also available for rent:

• 15 ft. fishing boat (new 2006), 20hp Honda 4 stroke w/electric tilt and start, fish finder, remote trolling motor, live well, 2 pedestal seats, trailer-- $425 per week
• Paddle boat -- $50 per week, $10 per day
• 2-person kayak -- $50 per week, $20 for 2 days (minimum)
• Trolling motor -- $50 per week
• Depth/fish finder -- $25 per week

2011 Rates-

Summer:

• $850 per week for up to 4 people, $800 after Aug. 22
• $50 discount for a 2nd week
• $130 per night, 2 night minimum, after Aug 22nd or for last minute vacancies
• 5% discount for seniors over 60
  

2010-2011 Fall/ Winter/Spring (Sept 29-May 31)

• $700 per week, (4 persons)
• $100 per night, (3 night minimum,)
• $250 for 2 nights
